Hello and welcome to my blog.

My name is Rachael and I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins B Cell Lymphoma when I was 34 years old.

I can’t tell you what a shock it was to be told I had cancer but in some ways it wasn’t a surprise – I’d been feeling so tired and unwell for such a long time.

I’m trying to battle my way through this experience by keeping my chin up and having a good sense of humour about it all…the old adage ‘If I didn’t laugh, I’d cry’ has never been more appropriate.

Through this blog we are fundraising for Anthony Nolan – a charity that matches donors with patients needing life-saving stem cell transplants. It’s a charity that I hadn’t heard of until I needed it and I’m so grateful that it exists. If you would like to support our fundraising activities, you can do so on the ‘Just Giving’ page on this site. And if sharing my story helps anyone else in the same situation, even better x
